2. The Rangers are now 2-0 in extra inning games. They are the only team in the majors that hasn’t lost one this season.
3. The Tigers are the first team in the majors with 50 wins. They did it in their 80th game. The only other times, since 1969, that the Tigers reached 50 wins within their first 80 games, were the 1984 World Championship season and their 2006 American League Championship season.
4. The Braves are 5-0 against the Mets this season and have won 6 straight against them dating back to the final game of the 2024 season. The last time the Braves had a longer streak against the Mets was 7 in a row in 2012. (They also matched this streak with 6 straight in 2023 and 2022-23).
The only other times the Braves have started a season winning their first 5+ games against the Mets were 1998 (5) and 1974 (8).
5. The Braves got their 319th win against the Mets in the past 35 seasons (since 1991). That is tied for the 4th most for any team against any opponent.

The Yankees have scored just 2 runs in 11 innings in extra innings while hitting .063 (2-32 AB). That’s the worst AVG in the majors in extra innings. And, both of the Yankees’ run was the ridiculous runner at 2nd, so they haven’t scored a legitimate extra inning run all season.
